The corporate investigations team are looking for an experienced Accredited Financial Investigator to join the team of criminal investigators.
About the role:
Conducting robust financial investigations, you’ll maximise revenue return to the business using the most resource efficient methods, applying the principles of proportionality to restrain, and confiscate the proceeds of crime. Working with the Criminal Law Team, you’ll prepare court orders in support of your own money laundering investigations and in addition support the teams’ criminal investigations.
An accredited and experienced financial investigator, you’ll have excellent knowledge of the relevant financial legislation, and exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
A self-starter who can hit the ground running, you’ll have the initiative to work autonomously, and the interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders. You may be from a government, law enforcement, or regulatory background, but it’s your subject knowledge and ability to find innovative solutions that will set you apart.
Experience with joint asset recovery databases (JARD) is essential, while knowledge of financial investigative software such as that from Altia Solutions would be beneficial.
This post is open to all Accredited Financial Investigators who must possess Part 2 (Confiscation) and Part 8 (Investigation), and be an experienced practitioner. Candidates must be able to demonstrate and evidence the necessary attributes and ability to fulfil the role.
Consideration will be given to individuals with suspended accreditation who can evidence recent Financial Investigation activities showing a proven track record in dealing with production orders, restraint applications and confiscation.
