In 2012 Leicester city council working closely with partners set up a Multi Systemic Therapy (MST) Team: an evidence based programme which works with the families of some of our most troubled teenagers aiming to reduce the levels of youth offending; anti-social behaviour and risk of being taken into care or custody. The results achieved have been outstanding reducing costs for the taxpayer, transforming the life time outcomes for the young people involved and improving the quality of neighbourhood life.
This post is to further develop the MST evidence based model through the introduction of Child Abuse and Neglect adaption service and a second MST standard team.
Are you hard-working, adaptable, resilient and self-motivated with a proven track record of working with challenging young people and their families and ready to play a vital role in developing a specialist MST team in Leicester?
You will have a vital and lead role in supporting the business needs of MST interventions with the child abuse and neglect team including, organising the information for the weekly group supervision sessions, liaising with a wide range of partners and the national MST-UK implementation team. A key task is implementing the quality assurance processes that involve the weekly collection of data from service users through personal home visits/phone calls and the compilation of regular performance reports that enable your teams to be compared effectively nationally and internationally.
Requirements of the post:
– Have understanding in working with challenging young people and their families.
– Have a commitment to evidence based interventions.
– Able to demonstrate high levels of organisation and analytical skills.
– Must be skilled in engaging with young people and their parents/carers.
– You will be expected to work flexibly with some unsocial hours to ensure family engagement and data collection.
