South Kesteven District Council are currently recruiting for a casual CCTV Operator. As a casual position regular hours are not guaranteed. However for the first 3 months of your employment you will work a minimum of 100 hours per month. After this period your hours will be agreed with your manager on a monthly basis.
CCTV operators provide accurate and effective public CCTV monitoring. Co-operating with the emergency services and other agencies to reduce crime, the fear of crime and to maintain public safety.
South Kesteven District Council CCTV cameras cover the town centres of Grantham, Stamford, Deeping and Bourne. The control centre operates 24/7 to provide effective coverage. You may be required to work evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays to help maintain this service.
This role will require you to:
- Pro-actively manage the CCTV cameras in the district and report any incidents to enforcement bodies and appropriate agencies.
- Work alongside law enforcement agencies to review and make use of CCTV footage.
- Carry out administrative duties and ensure statement forms that may be required as evidence are accurate.
- Attend court to give evidence as required.
In order to carry out this role you must hold a valid SIA CCTV license.
