Rutland is one of the best places in the country to live, learn, work, play and visit. We may be the smallest Unitary Authority in England, but we can offer fantastic opportunities to make a real difference to the lives of the residents in our local community. This is your chance to become part of a great team, delivering great services throughout the County.
The Council’s Parking Services team are seeking to recruit an excellent communicator to help us to encourage considerate parking. As a uniformed officer, present on street and in our car parks, you will be the face of the Council and a significant part of your role will be to assist visitors to our beautiful market towns with their parking and tourism enquiries.
Your duties will include inspecting and identifying vehicles parked in contravention of parking regulations and to issue penalty charge notices where necessary so that we can keep our roads safe for motorists to go about their daily business with minimum disruption.
To be successful in this role, you will have an eye for detail, be computer literate and previous experience in an enforcement role would be ideal. In return for your commitment to work flexibly around rota hours, outdoors through all seasons and your enthusiastic approach to providing a good standard of customer service, we will train you to the highest standard in parking enforcement. This is a fixed term post with an anticipated end date of October 2018.
The successful applicant for this post will be subject to an enhanced check by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
We act as ‘One Council’ in all we do, with each of us working together in the most effective way to meet the needs of our customers every day – if you share this ethos then we very much want to hear from you.
