We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Counter Fraud Officer to join our Governance & Risk Team within the Finance Department.

 

This is a great opportunity to develop and embed a corporate wide approach to counter fraud across our teams in a way that is cost effective and protects the public purse.

You will be expected to work independently and be responsible for dealing with the day to day issues that arise, and the delivery of all fraud prevention related activities conducted by the organisation to prevent it from risk, loss and reputational damage.

Excellent team working and partnership skills are an integral part of the role in order to develop and maintain a variety of relationships, with the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.

If you have experience of carrying out investigations, preferably in a Local Government organisation, and hold an accredited counter fraud qualification, then we would like to hear from you.
