Customer Service Officer (City Bus Stations)

Salary: £16,781 – £17,772 per annum

Location: Haymarket & St. Margaret’s Bus Stations

2x Permanent, Full time

To provide a customer service to bus passengers including provision of bus service information and general site management, ensuring the safe, efficient and effective operation of the bus station.

You will be required to work a flexible rota system covering both Haymarket and St. Margaret’s bus stations.

Requirements of the post include:

-Experience of working in a customer service and/or retail environment;

-Able to work under pressure in a busy environment;

-Good interpersonal skills and willing to communicate with the public, bus drivers, other staff members and external agencies as required, either face to face, on the telephone, via email or letter;

-Good verbal and written communication skills sufficient to follow procedures and put them into action;

-Good administrative and I.T skills;

-Ability to interpret bus timetables;

-Commitment and understanding of the need to ensure high standards of customer care, with a view to promoting Leicester’s bus services to a range of diverse communities;

-Must be willing to wear uniform and adhere to a dress code;

-Must be punctual, reliable and willing to work a flexible rota including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
