This position has been added to our busy planning team and is ideal for enthusiastic professionals wishing to focus on securing sustainable growth and service development.
The postholder will have a key role in the delivery of sustainable growth and economic development in the Borough, that are critical to the Council’s strategic planning objectives and the future prosperity of the Borough. Leading a team of dedicated staff, the role is responsible for our Development Management service and an overview of the Licensing, Land Charges and Building Control functions.
Melton Mowbray is renowned as the Rural Capital of Food and has string ambitions for growth which promote very significant development opportunities. The Council is expanding its team to support the delivery of this important service area. The posts have a vital role in delivering the service objectives and present opportunities for a breadth of experience and development..
