Rutland is one of the best places in the country to live, learn, work, play and visit. We may be the smallest Unitary Authority in England, but we can offer fantastic opportunities to make a real difference to the lives of the residents in our local community. This is your chance to become part of a great team, delivering great services throughout the County.
Do you have the knowledge and experience to join our team enabling Rutland residents to participate in important democratic processes, ensuring their voices are heard? In addition to supporting a variety of Council, National and European Elections and Referenda in line with statutory legislation, you will ensure the day to day maintenance of an accurate electoral register, and provide support and training to other staff.
In addition to your sound understanding of electoral legislation, conduct of elections and the electoral register, you will be able to work confidently with senior management, members and the public. With the ability to work under pressure to fixed deadlines, and flexible approach, your strong organisational skills will ensure you deliver to a consistently high standard and level of accuracy. A Foundation Course in Electoral Administration or equivalent, or the willingness to undertake this, would be desirable for success in this role.
