The primary purpose of LeicesterCare is to provide an emergency alarm service available to anyone who feels vulnerable or alone, whatever their age or needs. Many people want to retain their independence and enjoy the comfort of their own home, but are wishing to reduce risks.


LeicesterCare offers reassurance, support and peace of mind by providing a direct link to a caring control centre. The service is available around the clock, every day of the year for over 4,800 monitored connections. LeicesterCare can summon help or offer reassurance whenever it is needed and from any location in the home.


The post holder will be working in a control room setting to provide support, assistance and advice to customers of the LeicesterCare Service. This work will include a set shift pattern that covers the 24 hour, 7 days per week operation which will include evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays.


Requirements of the post:

– Experience of dealing with members of the public/customers on a one to one basis to provide advice and support via telephone or social alarm communication

– Experience of working with people in their own homes on a one to one basis

– Experience of maintaining and amending computerised records and keyboard operation

– General clerical experience and ability to complete routine clerical tasks
