Executive Support Officer

An exciting opportunity has arisen at South Kesteven District Council for an Executive Support Officer (ESO). We are looking for a professional, competent and enthusiastic person who is able to communicate well at all levels providing administrative, secretarial and research support to the strategic management team (SMT).

 Your role as an ESO will be to provide comprehensive and responsible administrative and diary support, ensuring the effective use of SMTs time, that SMT are fully prepared and briefed for meetings, supporting council wide projects and undertaking day to day business support.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast paced environment and rise to the challenge of keeping an ever tight grip on a demanding and changeable diary whilst offering excellent customer services to the broad range of colleagues, residents and politicians this role would see you liaising with.

Highly organised with strong IT skills and the ability to develop effective office systems.

You must be highly diplomatic and able to handle confidential and sensitive matters with absolute discretion, sensitive to the nuances of working in a political environment. You will have excellent written and oral communication skills, be organised and able to prioritise and have the ability to manage performance and ensure deadlines are met.
