We are seeking to recruit a Finance Business Partner to work with service, to be creative and innovative, and drive new ideas through the organisation. We continue to improve and manage the delivery of the Capital Programme and expect you to be able to assist with robust business cases surrounding property and service investment decisions; including the impact on both cash flow and treasury management. You will assist both the Council’s Section 151 Officer and the Financial Services Manager in reporting to Scrutiny, Cabinet and Council.
You will be commercially minded and driven to ensure the Council gains maximum value for money so services exploit their commercial potential. Areas you could support range from Refuse Collection to Revenues and Benefits as well as forward planning in relation to national initiatives such as business rates reform. We are looking for an individual with the drive and determination to succeed and the ability to maximise both your talent and that of the team, at an authority that values its staff.
Previous local authority experience is not essential but this is a great opportunity to develop your skills and career. Our package includes:
