Graduate Project Officer (Curriculum & Quality- Adult Education College)

Location: Adult Education College

Full Time, Fixed Term contract for 12 months (start date 1st October 2018)

To widen the evidence base around adult education provision in community settings in Leicester, the Leicester Adult and Skills and Learning Services (LASALS)  is seeking a graduate project officer to work on a community learning development project that will, as part of the service’s strategic priorities, support the development of community learning and widening participation in learning in the city and identify specific community-based adult education, particularly in areas of great disadvantage. The project will conduct and evaluate research in order to assess community  learning priorities and needs, using a combination of research methods (focus groups, interviews, survey) as well as reviewing existing academic and policy literature and data.  We are specifically seeking applications from graduates with an interest in adult education, widening participation, lifelong learning and social inclusion. Previous experience  of using both qualitative and quantitative research methods, and working within a research team would be of benefit. Principal duties will include:
