Graduate Project Officer (Education & Children’s Services)

Salary: £16,781 – £17,772 per annum

Location: City Hall, 115 Charles Street, Leicester  LE1 1FZ

2x Full Time (37 hrs/wk), Fixed Term for 18 months – Graduate Opportunity

As part of the City Council’s drive to provide graduates with more opportunities to experience work and develop career paths we are pleased to offer exciting and challenging Graduate Project Officer roles within our Transformation Commissioning & Intervention Team.

The Children’s Transformation Team works with services across the Education and Children’s Department to manage and deliver change. These projects aim to improve outcomes for children to enable them to be safe, learn, achieve and grow.

The roles will involve interaction and communication with a range of partners/stakeholders, and you will gain project management and transformation change management experience. You will contribute to a range of project work streams including organisational reviews, using data and performance information to inform decision making and planning, and will work with senior and front line staff to achieve project aims.

Requirements for the posts include:

-Must have graduated in the last 18 months (or due to graduate this summer) with a 2:2 degree or above;

-Experience of and ability to produce professional reports and presentations;

-Proficient in standard Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel and PowerPoint;

-Demonstrate an interest in working within a project management environment and within the field of Education and Children’s Services;

-Good communication, interpersonal and networking skills;

-Organisational skills to prioritise and work across multiple tasks, able to manage time effectively and meet tight deadlines.
