Group Manager (Contracts & Assurance)

Salary: £44,491 – £47,804 per annum

Location: Bosworth House, Princess Road West, Leicester  LE1 6TH

Permanent, Full-time

This opportunity has arisen for an experienced manager to join the Contracts & Assurance Service at Leicester City Council. This Service is responsible for the contract management of Adult Social Care and Public Health services in Leicester City. Services we monitor include;

-Residential Care Homes;

-Domiciliary Care Services;

-Supported Living Services;

-Substance Misuse Services;

-Voluntary Community Services;

-Integrated Community Equipment Services;

-Substance Misuse Services.

You will be responsible for a team of Quality Assurance & Compliance Officers and Senior Officers who lead on the compliance and quality assessments for providers of either adult social care or public health services. You will be a highly motivated, organised individual with a demonstrable track record of supporting contracted services to deliver high quality, safe, value for money services in either a health or adult social care environment. We are looking for a committed, passionate and outstanding individual with the enthusiasm and determination to ensure that the citizens of Leicester receive high quality services.

Requirements of the post include:

-Demonstrable experience of the specialist technical knowledge of the provision of registered nursing care / community care including advising on contractual models and specifying quality and performance frameworks;

-Management experience in either a social care or health care setting involving contracting and management of performance and quality assurance issues;

-Experience of managing a range of staff, setting clear priorities and objectives and negotiating and implementing effective outcomes;

-Specialist knowledge of adult social care legislation to inform and advise on the commissioning and review of services;

-Knowledge of the Multi-Agency Safeguarding procedure and its application to safeguard vulnerable adults;

-Ability to use  a range of information to provide clear decision making and prioritise and review performance against targets set.

-Subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
