Lightbulb is a partnership programme supported by the seven District Councils in Leicestershire and Leicestershire County Council. It brings together a range of practical housing support into a single point of access or referral.  The overall ambition is to maximise the contribution that housing support can play in keeping vulnerable people independent in their homes.

The Housing Support Coordinator role will work with individuals in need to identify and access a range of housing support solutions that will enable them to remain independent and healthy in their home.

Working closely with specialists within the Lightbulb team (including occupational therapists, grant officers, technical officers and adaptations officers) you will be facilitating a holistic approach to housing support and supporting their work by offering individuals access to a wider range of housing support services.

You will have a wide range of experience in working with vulnerable adults and experience of working with key stakeholders and partners to get the best outcome for service users.

You will have experience of working in a housing, health or social care setting (including experience in the voluntary sector with this focus).

Ability to manage a varied and complex caseload and to prioritise own workload and meet deadlines is essential.

You must be willing to complete the Trusted Assessor Training, this will require attending formal training courses and on the job coaching. A certificate will be issued on completion.
This post is primarily based in Melton Mowbray but you may need to be based at any of the District or Borough Council offices. You will be expected to travel to Blaby District Council Offices in Narborough for meetings and training.
