Information Officer

Location: Bosworth House / Forest Lodge Education Centre 

 

Part Time: 26 hours per week – 14.5 hours to be worked at Bosworth House and 11.5 at Forest Lodge Education Centre 

Fixed Term Contract: initially until the end of December 2018, due to a service review

 

The Information Officer post within the Education & Children’s Services Information Team is a 0.7FTE post, of which 14.5 hours covers Children Missing Education (CME) work and 11.5 hours covering Virtual School Team (VST) work – total 26 hours.

 

The Children Missing Education (CME) agenda is very important work that covers the council’s statutory duties to know about children in this authority and about their education. The Information Officer role ensures these statutory duties by checking where children have moved on to when leaving one of the City schools.

 

The Virtual School Team (VST) work with and support the processes surrounding the education of looked after children throughout the City and beyond. Data about these children is gathered from across a number of systems and the VST part of this role is to coordinate and ensure all relevant systems are up-to-date and that the data provided for senior leadership is accurate and timely.
