We have an excellent opportunity within our ICT section. The Council manages a number of critical systems and is seeking an IT professional to fill an Infrastructure Administrator – Proactive role. This post would suit a candidate with considerable experience of working within a Microsoft windows server’s environment, including Web development/support for Web based applications and an IP telephony systems.
You will be required to carry out new installs, configuration changes and upgrades to the above systems as and when necessary. You will also be expected to assist in the maintenance and support of our Web based systems. Carry out patch management and system monitoring over a variety of platforms. You will carry out and assist with special projects as and when needed.
Our systems have third party support and maintenance contracts which can be called on to assist in any configuration changes or trouble shooting.
Experience in the public sector would be advantageous but not essential. Qualified to HNC level or equivalent we would also expect you to have attended relevant courses for appropriate to these disciplines.
