Do you want to help combat modern slavery and labour exploitation? It is estimated there are thousands of victims of modern slavery in the UK with forced labour the fastest growing area of business for criminals. Slavery is a global issue, affecting millions of people worldwide and the Prime Minister has called this the greatest human rights issue of our time.

The Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority (GLAA) is the foremost investigative law enforcement for labour exploitation in the UK. We are a non-departmental public body sponsored by the Home Office and we also licence and enforce the provisions of the Gangmasters (Licensing) Act 2004.

We have powers to ensure vulnerable workers are more effectively protected from being abused for their labour, such as police-style powers of arrest under both the Immigration and Modern Slavery Acts, increased powers to search for and seize evidence, offences under National Minimum Wage, Employment Agencies as well as the existing Gangmasters Licensing legislation.

As an ‘intelligence-led’ organisation, we rely and act upon information from workers, businesses and members of the public about any non-compliant or unlicensed activity, undertaking compliance inspection activity and investigations under the criminal law.

We are currently recruiting for the position of Performance Analyst to join our Intelligence team.

Reporting to the Senior Intelligence Analyst, the core focus of the role is to develop and maintain accurate, timely, robust and auditable processes in order to produce performance management information to inform the strategic and operational objectives of the GLAA.
