(+ essential car user allowance)

The role of a Planning Officer at Blaby District Council is wide ranging and rewarding. You will deal with customer enquiries, provide advice on the need for planning permission, and manage a caseload of householder and minor planning applications from registration and consultation through to determination.

The post provides an opportunity for you to obtain training and to gain experience of working within a busy Development Management Team. We want to hear from you if you are a graduate seeking your first career opportunity, or you are looking for a change in career, or you are looking to take your next step in your planning career with an opportunity to manage a caseload of planning applications.  The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, flexible and motivated.  You must work well in a team, be organised and able to prioritise your work, and have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to provide high levels of customer service.
