Raising Achievement Partner

Full Time, Fixed Term until 31st July 2019 due to funding

Our vision is for Leicester City to be a dynamic and forward looking community for education and learning, providing the best quality experiences for children and young people to grow up, learn, develop and achieve. We are proud to work in collaboration with a range of strategic partners to achieve an ambitious vision for our young people.

We are looking for a Raising Achievement Partner to work in our ‘Education Performance Service’.  As a Raising Achievement Partner you will be required to work closely with head teachers, governors and other strategic partners to ensure education provision in the city is of the highest quality.  You will have a portfolio of schools that you will support and be responsible for ensuring effective improvement plans are drawn up and implemented.  You will also be contributing to city wide improvement strategies.  We have the aim for all schools to be judged as at least ‘good’ by Ofsted and are well on our way to achieving this, with 90% of schools currently judged as such, despite the challenging context of some schools in the city.  This role is key to this achieving this aim.

To achieve success you will have a strong record of school improvement and school support.  You will need excellent communication and influencing skills and an ability to win the confidence and trust of school leaders quickly.  We are also particularly interested in applications from individuals with current Ofsted inspection experience.

If you have the desire, passion and vision to work with us to make a difference for our children and young people in Leicester, then we look forward to hearing from you.
