Registration Officer (Auxiliary)

Salary: £20,456 – £22,434 pro-rata per annum

Location: Registration Service, Town Hall, Leicester  LE1 9BG

Fixed Term for up to 18 months due to current workload.

Part-time posts – at least 10 hours per month / 120 hours per annum (£1,382 – £1,515 per annum) mainly at weekends & bank holidays.

To conduct and register marriages at the Town Hall and at a range of approved venues across the City. You will be required to deliver a high quality registration service for Leicester in accordance with the Council’s Equalities Policies.

Requirements of the post include:

-Experience of working in compliance with detailed / prescribed regulations;

-Experience of working under pressure to strict deadlines;

-Ability to conduct ceremonies with an audience in excess of 50 people;

-Legible handwriting;

-Able to work weekends & bank holidays on a rota basis;

-Able to work either Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday on a rota basis.
