We are looking for self-motivated officers to join our busy Revenues and Customer Support service. The challenging role will be within a team dealing with all aspects of Council Tax billing and collection. This will involve maintaining the Council Tax database by amending liability from changes in occupations, vacations, discounts/exemptions and method of payment. You will also be expected to deal with customer enquiries over the phone and face to face.
Requirements of the post:
- Significant clerical experience or experience of working in a financial and/or customer focused environmen
- Experience of working with personal computers and various software packages, preferably using a large customer database
- Experience and ability to communicate effectively and handle stressful situations in a tactful, polite but assertive manner
- Subject to a Basic Disclosure Scotland check
