Rough Sleeping Co-ordinator

Location: City Centre

Full Time, Fixed Term until 31st March 2019, as this is a funded post.  This could be extended for an additional year, subject to funding confirmation from the Ministry of Housing Communities & Local Government.

 

This exciting new strategic role will be coordinating services available locally to prevent new rough sleeping and to provide support to people currently sleeping rough. Leicester has been successful in attracting government funding as part of the Rough Sleeping Initiative programme. This role will be delivering this programme of work and will make a real difference in reducing rough sleeping in Leicester.

 

Requirements of the post:

– In depth knowledge and experience of rough sleeping services or related services

– In depth knowledge the support needs of rough sleepers

– Experience of working in homelessness and or substance misuse services at a senior level sufficient to develop working practices, procedures, guidelines, policy

– Experience of developing action plans, joint working protocols, reports, procedures, risk assessments and information sharing agreements
