Support Worker and Casual Support Workers (Disabled Children Service)

Location: New Parks House

Are you enthusiastic, flexible and eager to support disabled children and young people to access short break provision such as play schemes, youth clubs and leisure services?

If so, we want you to become part of our team to support children and young people aged 0-19 years, who have a range of physical and learning disabilities, and challenging behaviours to access services that provide a short break for them and their families. We are looking to fill the 18.5 hour post and recruit casual support workers to work flexibly and as and when required.

You will be responsible for providing support to disabled children and young people in overcoming some of the barriers to accessing short breaks to enable them to develop their skills, make new friends, and give parents and carers a valuable break from their caring duties. Work will include group and individual work in a variety of settings. The 18.5 post will be completing short break assessments and reviewing short break packages. You will be using Liquid Logic/Early help Module systems to record information.
