Salary: £21,931 per annum (pay award pending)

Location: Based at Leicester Adult Education College

Full-Time, Fixed Term for 18 months due to funding – with possibility of extension.

Leicester Adult Skills & Learning Service are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, skilled and passionate professional to organise, promote and deliver our Universal Credit digital skills programme to adult learners throughout the city.

In June 2018, Universal Credit Full Service will go live in Leicester.  You will co-ordinate a programme to develop digital skills for residents in Leicester who do not have the ability to manage a Universal Credit account, risking sanctions and potential loss of benefits. This programme will prepare residents, long term, increasing their chances of employment which will contribute to independence and improved life skills.

Requirements of the post include:

-Professional qualification in teaching at Level 4 or above;

-I.T and English qualification at Level 2 or above;

-A demonstrable track record of developing partnerships and working with people who have complex needs;

-Experience of teaching, modelling excellent practice with a demonstrable record of innovation;

-Experience of assessing individuals’ learning and support requirements and devising teaching, learning and support strategies to accommodate diverse needs;

-Able to critically analyse statistical data, management information, and provide detailed reports;

-Able to monitor quality standards and develop action plans to improve teaching and learning;

-Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail and able to manage a complex work load;

-Subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
