Chesterfield is a bustling borough with big ambition, and a strong commitment to putting our communities first.
Through our Chesterfield Careline service we support some of our most vulnerable residents and tenants – and provide peace of mind to their families – by helping people to live independently in their homes, for longer.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and creative marketing officer with strong experience of developing and implementing business-focussed service marketing plans, to work closely with the Chesterfield Careline service.
Purpose of the role
The role will lead the development and delivery of marketing plans to effectively understand, reach and grow key audiences, using the full marketing mix.
Based within the council’s fast-paced communications and marketing team, this role will also have strong links and working relationships with service leads in the Chesterfield Careline team.
About the candidate
Ideally, you will have a strong record of delivering and evaluating service marketing plans within a commercial setting, but experience of commercial service delivery within the public sector is also highly desirable.
You will be able to demonstrate proven experience working within a relevant role, effectively managing targets, data-based plans, and budgets.
You will also have excellent problem-solving and customer service skills to work with a range of internal stakeholders, supporting the service to deliver its objectives.
The ability to interpret and respond to data is key.
If you are full of ideas, work well in a fast-paced environment, and would like to be part of an enthusiastic and talented team making a difference to the lives of local people, we want to hear from you.
For an informal discussion about this opportunity, please contact Mandy Atkinson, Head of Communications and Marketing, on 07964 921452 or email at mandy.atkinson@chesterfield.gov.uk.
How to apply
Interested candidates should initially apply with their CV and a covering letter stating the job title, and clearly demonstrating suitability and experience for the role. Please send it to hrjobs@chesterfield.gov.uk no later than the closing date shown below.
If you don’t already have a CV you can use our template on our website. We also have advice about how to write your cover letter.
