Information Governance Officer

North West Leicestershire District Council is a busy council, working across our communities to help people and businesses thrive. We’re looking for an Information Governance Officer to join our Legal Services Team.

About the role

Our Information Governance Officer will deal with and provide advice on all aspects of Information Governance. This will include carrying out the end-to-end process and administration for responding to information requests including Data Protection, Freedom of Information and Environmental Information Regulations requests.

Our ideal candidate

The person in this role is expected to have a good understanding of the relevant legislation, be able to work independently as well as part of a team, have excellent communication skills and be committed to keeping up to date with legislation or best practice changes. The role requires the ability to organise and prioritise work, in order to meet strict statutory deadlines.

•              36.25 hrs per week with an annual salary of £31,586 – £35,235
