Repairs and Maintenance Manager
North West Leicestershire District Council is a busy council, working across our communities to help people and businesses thrive.
We are looking for someone to effectively manage our day-to-day housing repairs operation, delivering excellent customer service to our tenants whilst maintaining a quick turnaround of work to the required standards.
About the role
You will be leading a team of Team Leaders, Chargehands and Trades Operatives to deliver excellent service to our customers, completing housing repairs work on time and on budget. You will also be working with colleagues across the wider Housing Team and beyond to shape and deliver programs of improvement work to the council’s tenanted housing stock.
Our ideal candidate
You need to have demonstrable experience of working with Housing Repairs Systems e.g. Aareon QL along with Dynamic Repairs Scheduling systems. You will have a sound knowledge and understanding of all relevant Health and Safety legislation and compliance requirements and will be proficient in using bespoke IT software systems to plan work programs, control and claim costs and proactively manage performance. You also need to be competent at report writing and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• 36.25 hrs per week with an annual salary of £45,718 – £49,764
• Agile working scheme with a combination of home and office working, this job requires a minimum of 3 days a week working from the office
• 34 days holiday (including bank holidays) increasing to 38 days after 5 years
