Senior Economic Development Officer

North West Leicestershire District Council is a busy council, working across our communities to help people and businesses thrive. We’re looking for a Senior Economic Development Officer to join our Economic Regeneration Team.

About the role

Our Senior Economic Development Officer will lead on the development, implementation and monitoring of initiatives to contribute to delivery of economic regeneration across the district of North West Leicestershire. A key part of this role will be to deliver activities that drive more visitors to our town centres, this will include overseeing the delivery of many of the town’s popular events as well as creating an events programme for the newly redeveloped Marlborough Square.

Our ideal candidate

The person in this role will have exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to forge and sustain strong partnerships with businesses, communities and partner organisations. You will have demonstrable experience in successfully managing events, have previous experience of working on town centre, heritage, arts, events or visitor economy initiatives and will be flexible, creative and committed.

·         36.25 hrs per week with an annual salary of £36,124 – £39,513
