Housing Assistant

Salary: of £12,395 – £15,534 (Full-time equivalent £24,790 – £31,067) (pro rata to length of contract)

Housing Assistant – part time, temporary contract until 31 March 2025

We are looking for someone with excellent verbal and written communication skills to join our busy Housing Management administration team. The focus of the role is to provide support and administration assistance to the council’s Housing Officers and the wider Housing Management Team. You will also be responsible for the case management of Right to Buy and mutual exchange applications. We are looking for someone with previous experience of working with members of the public both on the telephone and face to face as you will be our tenants first point of contact for the Housing Management Team. The team prides itself on providing excellent customer service and you must be able to provide clear advice on tenancy and rent queries (training will be given to help you do this), you also need to be able to stay calm as you will sometimes be dealing with difficult situations.

•              18.125 hrs per week with an annual salary, depending on experience, of £12,395 – £15,534 (Full-time equivalent £24,790 – £31,067) (pro rata to length of contract)

•              These hours will be worked Wednesday afternoons and all day on Thursdays and Fridays.
