Community Recycling Promoter

The Council is seeking to recruit a Community Recycling Promoter to support its recycling and sustainability initiatives, throughout North East Derbyshire areas as well as undertaking a range of duties to support the Streetscene Service.

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Support the Council’s ‘door knocking’ campaigns in order to raise awareness of recycling in low performing areas
  • Undertake promotional activities to support sustainability, waste minimisation, recycling and composting
  • Undertake activities to prevent fly tipping
  • Support the assisted collection scheme
  • Design and implement communication campaigns

To be successful you will need:

  • Good customer care skills
  • Good communication skills
  • ICT skill
  • Environmental awareness
  • Category B driving license.

The postholder will be required to operate from all NEDDC facilities and have access to their own transport for use in Council business, for which a mileage allowance is payable.
