We have excellent opportunities for dynamic, confident, autonomous, skilled and highly motivated Social Workers to join the Safeguarding Adults Team, based within the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub at Derby City Council. The Opportunity
In the role of Safeguarding Adults Team Social Worker, here’s an example of what you’ll be doing to make an impact:
– Work as part of a multi-agency team to respond to safeguarding adult concerns and undertake safeguarding enquiries
– Have meaningful conversations with citizens of Derby about keeping themselves safe and what outcomes they would like as a result of safeguarding enquiries
– Work with citizens and partner agencies to formulate safety plans that make a difference
About You
To be successful in this role, you’ll ideally have…

– A recognised Social Work Qualification
– Current Social Work England Registration
– Experience of undertaking Safeguarding Adult Enquiries in line with the Care Act 2014.
– The ability to work with citizens of Derby using the principles of community led support, strengths and asset based practice and to promote positive risk taking.
– Understanding of and ability to explain complex legal social and welfare situations, including the Mental Capacity Act 2005, Mental Health Act 1983, The Care Act 2014.
– The ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines, ability to manage complex caseloads.
– Ability to work as part of a team.
– Good oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
– Computer/ ICT literacy skills.
