Health and Physical Activity Officer

Full Time 37 hours per week

Do you have a passion for supporting people to be more active and live a healthier lifestyle? Are you organised and able to work on your own initiative? Our Health, Leisure and Tourism Team are looking to recruit a Health and Physical Activity officer to help deliver high quality programmes and interventions that aim to improve the health and wellbeing of residents.

In this role, you will be responsible for the delivery and coordination of community physical activity and health initiatives in line with local plans, working in close partnership with providers of activities and community services, to ensure residents will have equitable access to these to improve their health and wellbeing.

You will have experience of working in a customer focused environment and have the ability to engage residents and encourage them to make healthier life choices.  You will also be responsible for accurately recording programme data and analysing this to create innovative reports for stakeholders and external funding bids.
