Communications Officer

Salary: £28,312 – £30,757
Location: Lincoln

We’re looking for a creative and dynamic Communications Officer to work on high profile projects and campaigns, engaging and informing our customers and staff using a range of channels.

Working in a vibrant city, for a small team within an ambitious local authority, this role offers a great opportunity to use your knowledge of videography, copywriting, design and ability to build strong working relationships with key people to help manage our reputation, market our services and promote our vision and priorities.

You will be involved in a wide range of projects, managing competing demands and often working to tight deadlines.

Good attention to detail is a necessity, and you must be able to write, edit and proof copy. You will also have experience in video production and have a keen eye for what makes a good design. Knowledge of social media trends is also sought, as is experience of liaising with local and regional media and the ability to provide quality communications advice to Members and Officers.

Among many other things, you will be responsible for creating and delivering communications plans and evaluating the success of our activities.

Key responsibilities:

– Work under the general direction of the Communications Manager to contribute to the effective delivery of the Communication team’s objectives.

– To have the day-to-day responsibility for all internal communications.

– Create and contribute towards the provision of a comprehensive creative design service.
