Community Access Team Leader (Libraries)

Salary: £41,418- £44,428
Location: Rutland

We are looking for someone who is passionate about libraries and the communities they serve. The Communities Access Team Leader will lead and manage Rutland library operations, personnel and locality sites. They will oversee the development of Rutland’s library and information offer and services, including the development of innovation, ICT services and learning activities.

Who you are…  

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent professional qualification and or have relevant experience in the field of library and information/community development or learning
  • Experienced in leading and managing library and multi-disciplinary teams

About the Role…..

As the Communities Access Team Leader, you will:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations and supervision of the library staff and the community spaces in Rutland.
  • Work alongside the Service Manager for Communities and Prevention, and to act as ‘one team’ by working with other Communities and Prevention Team Leaders.
  • Work with the Community and Community Voluntary sector to deliver a fully integrated and cost-effective service that meets the needs of Rutland residents with a focus on children, young people and families.
  • Lead the library team to transform and develop library services to ensure that services are delivered effectively, efficiently, and sustainably.
  • Deputise for the Service Manager and to lead meetings relevant to the service, at a locality and regional level.
  • To lead on specific partnerships with local voluntary and community organisations, including facilitating and chairing locality meetings, to leverage resources, expertise, and networks.
  • The successful applicant for this post will be subject to an enhanced check by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The costs for the DBS are paid by us.
