About the role
As a key member of the planning team, you will be expected to provide strong leadership for the development management service and be responsible for managing a team of circa 19 professional and support staff with more in the future, whilst also working alongside, and managing and supporting where necessary, other teams within the Council and Service area.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual who is willing to take change of a busy public facing team. The department is expanding and looking at new and innovative processes and procedures and the successful candidate will need to manage and influence change whilst committing to high-quality service provision.
The ideal candidate will be personable, with great communication skills, and an inherent supportive attitude and drive. However, of equal importance is a sense of commerciality and pragmatism that will form the backbone of the Development Management team.
