The Council is recruiting for a Tenancy Support Team Leader.
You will be responsible for managing a team of Tenancy Support Officers and Financial Inclusion Officers.
Your main duties will include:
Leading and managing the Tenancy Support Team to deliver a high-quality tenancy support service;
to support and assist the team to identify individuals requiring support and co-ordinate a partnership approach to deliver a holistic tenancy support service, effective service delivery and tenancy sustainment;
ensure there is a performance management culture across the team to deliver an excellent customer-focused service;
empower officers in the Tenancy Support Team to undertake the duties of their post effectively by ensuring they are well trained and supported;
Deliver tenancy support to the most high risk and complex tenants
ensure the team has a good knowledge of welfare benefits, the health and social care sector and relevant housing policies and legislation and has the knowledge and skills to deliver income maximisation and budgeting advice;
to receive referrals and co-ordinate support to meet individuals needs maximising support from external agencies
Being one of the Council’s Designated Safeguarding Officers and advising officers in the Tenancy Support Team on safeguarding cases.
