Chesterfield Borough Council is looking for well-presented, friendly venues assistants to join our front of house team at our new 1435 Theatre and Museum and Winding Wheel Theatre.

Our front of house teams welcome thousands of customers to our venues each year, helping to create a positive and memorable experience for everyone who visits.

This is a varied role where you will work as part of a team across a range of events and activities. No two shifts are necessarily the same – you could be selling tickets, providing a first-class bar service, welcoming and directing customers, or showing visitors around the museum.

The key purpose of the role is to ensure that everyone visiting our venues receives a warm welcome and excellent customer service. You will need to be confident communicating with a wide range of people, have a helpful and approachable manner, and be comfortable working in a busy environment.

There is a strong focus on customer service, teamwork and sales, and you will be expected to work flexibly across our venues and different events.

Shift patterns include days, evenings, weekends and bank holidays, so flexibility is essential.

If you enjoy working with people, thrive in a busy environment and take pride in delivering an excellent customer experience, we would love to hear from you.
