Multi Trade Operative

Salary: £33,170 – £34,806 per annum (pay award of 3.3% pending). Plus a tool allowance of up to £483.08 per annum
Location: Beeston, NG9

We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and customer-focused individual to join the Council’s Housing Repairs team as a Plasterer / Builder.

In this role, you will spend your day carrying out a wide range of plastering and building repairs across the Council’s housing stock. Duties will include patch plastering, skimming, rendering, brickwork repairs, concreting, tiling, and other general building maintenance tasks to ensure properties are maintained to a safe and high standard. You may also be required to undertake associated repairs and work alongside other trades to deliver an effective repairs service.

As you will be visiting a variety of properties, you will require excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with tenants and residents, ensuring work is completed professionally and with minimal disruption.

Most of your work will be undertaken within occupied properties, although you may also be required to work in void properties, carrying out repairs and refurbishment works to bring homes back up to the required standard and prepare them for new tenants.

You will be provided with a company van for this role.

We’re looking for an individual who has experience of: 

  • Working in social housing
  • Undertaking repairs in tenanted properties

  • Accurate record keeping
