Are you an experienced Housing Officer or Tenancy Sustainment Officer ready to take the next step in your career? Do you have a passion for delivering excellent housing services and supporting colleagues to achieve their full potential? If so, we would love to hear from you.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Tenancy Services Team Leader to join our Housing Operations Team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced housing professional looking to build on their leadership skills while making a real difference to residents and communities across the borough.
About the Role
As Tenancy Services Team Leader, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality tenancy management services across the borough. You will provide day-to-day guidance to Housing Officers, taking the lead on complex anti-social behaviour (ASB) cases and working closely with Legal Services and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes for residents. You will be responsible for gathering and presenting evidence, preparing legal documentation and attending court where required.
You will provide effective leadership, support and direction to a team of Tenancy Sustainment Officers and Housing Assistants, ensuring high standards of service delivery, strong performance and excellent outcomes for residents. You will promote a culture of early intervention, continuous improvement and customer focus, working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to deliver effective housing services.
The role involves undertaking reactive visits across the borough to support colleagues and respond to urgent tenancy management issues. As such, access to your own transport is essential.
Working closely with the Tenancy Services Manager, you will lead a team of two Tenancy Sustainment Officers and two Housing Assistants, driving performance, supporting professional development, identifying service improvements and contributing to the ongoing success of our neighbourhood services.
