We are currently recruiting for a Graduate Planning Officer in the Development Control Team. This is a key role in achieving Nuneaton and Bedworth Council’s vision by supporting in the delivery and management of the Development Control Service.

You will process and deal with your own caseload of non-complex planning applications, including registration and consultation, and you will support the wider team in processing more complex applications and administration of the planning appeals system. You will also help to maintain the Section 106 register, and process works to trees applications, high hedge applications, and give pre-application advice to the public.
You will be supported by a Principal Planning Officer together with regular 1-to-1 meetings, full support in a friendly and welcoming team, with an appraisal of formal training needs.
Applicants should have a Masters Degree in Town Planning (or equivalent relevant qualification) or be currently in (or about to enter) the final year of study towards achieving their masters degree.
