Sales/Information Asst

An exciting opportunity has arisen is to work at Middleton Top shop and visitor centre.

What will I be doing :

You will support the operation of the Visitor Centre during the prescribed hours, sell items and provide information and advice to countryside visitors, 
providing a positive image of the council and promote customer care. 

What Skills and Experience do you need to have :

• Knowledge of the site is an advantage
• retail experience, including cash handling.
• Ability to deal with enquiries, complaints in a clear and concise manner
• A basic awareness of Countryside issues e.g. rights of way, wildlife

This position is to work at Middleton Top shop and visitors centre. Hours are 26 a week, 9am to 2pm on a Monday OR Tuesday to complete site bankings and weekly finance forms plus working every Wed/Thur/Fri 9.30am to 5pm in the shop

There may also be occasions when you will be required to work at our nearby site High Peak Junction.

The role is physically demanding as it includes replenishing deliveries and being on your feet all day

The role is fixed term until 31/08/25.
