Derbyshire Dales District Council is a high performing local planning authority that is looking to invest in and strengthen its planning service to deliver high quality development for its residents and its future ambitions for growth as part of the local plan review.
An opportunity has arisen to take on the leadership of the planning policy team at the District Council and the post holder is needed to help deliver the future development needs of the District and shape the Council’s planning policy and its approach to a wide range of issues and challenges, including Design, Biodiversity Net Gain, and Climate Change.
You will be an experienced Policy Officer, with a proven track record of working on the delivery of Local Plans, and delivering high quality development, whilst being able to maximise the benefits of new development for existing and future residents of the District.
The successful candidate must be well organised and self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure. You must have excellent communication and negotiation skills and the ability to ensure our team delivers a high-quality service to our customers.
