Training on and off the job will be provided, with the role involving working within a small supportive team at the Visitor Information Centre on a casual as and when required basis.

Key responsibilities:
– To assist with the promotion of the city of Lincoln, Lincolnshire and national sites of interest, including travel services and events by providing a comprehensive range of information and services to tourists, visitors, and local people.
– Administrative tasks and enquiry handling via e-mail, telephone, and face-to-face at the Lincoln Visitor Information Centre.
– To assist with generating income for the service, selling and upselling goods and services.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
– Flexibility, being available to work as and when required, involving some weekends, Bank Holidays and at special events.
– Team working, being an effective communicator and have excellent interpersonal skills.
– To be able to follow office procedures, give attention to detail and show initiative.
– To provide administrative support, including financial reconciliation.
– Competent in using Word, Excel, internet and e-mail.
– To be responsible following health and safety guidelines and as a premises key holder.
