We are looking to appoint a Specialist Teaching and Learning Assistant within our Alternative Curriculum Centre for Extended Student Support (ACCESS) department.
This rewarding role which involves implementing agreed work programmes on a one to one and group basis within the ACCESS inclusion areas especially the garden and outdoor and Forest School areas, overcoming barriers to learning by understanding SEND and behaviour needs and their implications and the positive impact learning in the natural environment has.
The successful candidate will have experience of providing Forest School or horticultural programs to students and have a passion for outdoor learning in all weathers and the benefits this can bring to both alternative provision and the whole school community.

This role is 37 hours per week over 5 days, 39 weeks per year (term time plus INSET days) The successful candidate will have experience with working with young people in the natural environment, Forest School qualifications or the commitment to work towards these relevant qualifications is essential for this role.
