Relief Sales Information Assistant

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our relief staff pool at Shipley Country Park shop and visitor centre.

This vacancy is a zero hours contract, providing cover for holidays/sickness and busy trading times.

The shop is open 7 days a week.

Hours of work when on relief are 9.45am to 4.15pm.

There may also be occasions when relief shifts at Elvaston Castle in Derby will be available.

What will you be doing:

You will support the operation of the Visitor Centre, selling items and providing information and advice to countryside visitors, providing a positive image of the council and promoting customer care, whilst working in picturesque surroundings.

What skills and experience do you need:

• Site knowledge is an advantage
• Retail experience, including cash handling is desirable
• Ability to deal with enquiries and complaints
• A basic awareness of Countryside issues e.g. wildlife, rights of way
• The role is physically demanding as it includes replenishing deliveries and being on your feet all day
