We’re looking for a Volunteer Coordinator to join our Cultural Services team at an exciting time of renewal and growth. With our beautifully refurbished theatre and museum set to re-open next year, this is a unique opportunity to shape and lead a new volunteer programme that will make a lasting impact on our community.

About the role 

As a Volunteer Coordinator, you will:

  • Lead the design, launch, and delivery of a new volunteer programme across our Cultural Services
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams, external stakeholders, and the wider voluntary sector
  • Promote and grow the programme while developing a long-term volunteer engagement strategy
  • Recruit, train, support and motivate volunteers to contribute meaningfully across our venues
  • Ensure a high-quality experience for volunteers and the public alike

 

What we’re looking for

We’re seeking a dynamic, organised, and people-focused individual with:

  • Experience working with volunteers and the public in a front-line service
  • Strong people management, customer service, and communication skills
  • The ability to work independently, use initiative, and manage challenging situations
  • Excellent IT, administrative, and budget management skills
  • Previous management training and customer service training
