We are seeking an Energy & Sustainability Co-ordinator to help drive forward our housing sustainability programme, reduce carbon emissions, and support our residents in tackling fuel poverty. This is a key role where you will collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and residents to bring meaningful, sustainable change to our housing services.
About the Role
You will act as Housing Managements advisor on all building-related sustainability matters, taking the lead on:
Developing and delivering our carbon reduction plan in consultation with residents.
Modelling carbon reduction outcomes from capital investment projects.
Identifying and securing funding opportunities for innovative energy efficiency projects.
Leading initiatives to tackle fuel poverty, damp, and mould in our housing stock.
Supporting the Councils Climate Change and Air Quality Strategy, ensuring compliance with national and European regulations.
Producing reports and data insights to guide decision-making and demonstrate progress.
About You
We are looking for someone who can bring both expertise and passion for sustainability. You will need:
*A degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field.
*At least two years experience in the housing sector at management or supervisory level.
*Proven experience in energy efficiency and sustainability within housing.
*Excellent communication and partnership-building skills.
*Strong project and financial management abilities.
*The ability to lead, motivate, and manage a busy team.
*A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle.
