Salary ranges from Grade 6 to Grade 9 £33,699 to £47,181 per annum
The role is offered on a career grade basis, with progression through different levels as you gain experience and achieve relevant qualifications

Kickstart your career in local government finance with Bassetlaw District Council! Were looking for a motivated and ambitious individual to join our Finance Team as a Trainee CIPFA Accountant.
In this exciting role, you will gain hands-on experience across a range of finance functions from budget preparation and monitoring to closing accounts and producing financial reports. You will work closely with budget managers, maintain accurate financial systems, and help ensure we provide a high-quality service to the Council and its residents.

What we are looking for:
AAT qualified or a finance-related degree
Good understanding of local authority accounting principles
Experience of the financial cycle (budget setting, monitoring, final accounts)
Strong IT skills (Excel, Word, financial systems)
Team player with excellent communication skills and ability to meet deadlines
