Countryside Assistant Manager – Lead Boldly, Deliver Projects, Make Nature Thrive

Are you ready to shape how Derbyshire connects with its countryside through impactful project delivery?

We’re seeking a proactive and imaginative Countryside Assistant Manager to lead on the planning and delivery of key countryside projects. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on variety, enjoys working across teams and partnerships, and is passionate about making a tangible difference to our natural spaces.

You’ll be at the heart of our countryside operations, managing projects that enhance biodiversity, improve visitor experiences, and support community engagement. From developing funding bids to coordinating contractors and liaising with stakeholders, you’ll ensure our countryside sites continue to thrive.

While this role is not primarily focused on team leadership, you’ll provide occasional supervisory support when covering for other managers, ensuring continuity and collaboration across the service.

– Is passionate about nature, heritage, and delivering results that benefit people and place.
